Curfew

The council has determined that a curfew for minors (a person under the age of eighteen) is necessary to promote the public health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the City, and the minor.  The following curfews are effective for all minors:

14 Years or Younger

    September 1 through May 31

       Sunday-Thursday - 10:00 pm to 5:00 am

       Friday - Saturday - 12:00 midnight to 5:00 am

    June 1 through August 31

       Sunday - Thursday - 11:00 pm  to 5:00 am

       Friday - Saturday - 12:00 midnight to 5:00 am

15 Years to 17 years

    September 1 through May 31

       Sunday-Thursday - 11:00 pm to 5:00 am

       Friday - Saturday - 1:00 midnight to 5:00 am

    June 1 through August 31

       Sunday - Thursday - 12:00 pm  to 5:00 am

       Friday - Saturday - 1:00 am to 5:00 am

Exceptions:

•  The minor is accompanied by a responsible adult

•  Minor is on the sidewalk or property to where the minor resides

•  Minor is traveling between home and: work, religious activity, school activity, or in an emergency situation. .
